ABOUT MARK
MARK CONVERSE IS A LOS ANGELES BASED PROFESSIONAL DRUMMER AND PERCUSSIONIST WITH A CAREER SPANNING OVER 40 YEARS.
His performances have spanned a wide variety of top LA and Southern California groups including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pasadena Pops and Symphony, New West Symphony, and the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, among many others. His credits include Grammy winning recordings with Ray Charles (“Genius Loves Company”) and Daft Punk (“Random Access Memories”), as well as performances with many entertainers including Andrea Bocelli, Barry Manilow, Peggy Lee, Keely Smith, Patti LuPone, Three Irish Tenors, and Celtic Woman among others. He has performed at musical venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Honda Center, Pantages Theater, Ahmanson Theater, Mark Taper Forum, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and more. His television credits include appearances on Modern Family, Bones, Gilmore Girls, I Love Lucy's 50th Anniversary Special, and others.

Mark has spent his entire career teaching and mentoring young drummers and percussionists. He enjoys working with every level, from absolute beginners to professionals looking to hone specific skills. He has taught at a variety of Southern California colleges and universities including Azusa Pacific University, Cal Poly Pomonoa, Concordia University, Vanguard University, and the Master's University. He has also taught at the Los Angeles Music Academy and Citrus College. He has utilized online teaching for 8 years to conveniently instruct his students across the US and internationally.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Percussion Performance
from California State University, Northridge in 1982
